Six Reasons to move to Brickell via Forbes
We love when Forbes.com writes hefty articles about Miami, so thank you Amber Gibson for the fantastic Brickell writeup – Six Reasons Everyone Is Moving To Miami’s Brickell Neighborhood.
Move over, South Beach. Miami’s downtown core is one of the fastest-growing destinations in the country. Florida’s population is growing at a rate of 900 people per day, second in the country only behind Texas. Within Florida, Brickell is the hotspot, with the most new construction condos, and nearly tripling its population between 2000 and 2016. The boom shows no signs of stopping.
The article attributes Brickell’s growth to explosion of new condos, trendy new bars and restaurants, business opportunities and the obvious perfect weather which is appealing to cosmopolitan, international crowd. We continue hearing the same song: residents are Central and South American along with people fleeing cold weather and high taxes in the northeast.
Massive New Construction
Mixed-use development at Brickell City Centre that includes 2 condo towers, office buildings, The EAST hotel – and will continue developing the area.
Other new projects have followed suit and have been able to capitalize on the area’s success.
Convenience + Connectivity
In addition to full-service condos with every amenity imaginable, you also have the Brickell financial district, which according to the article, “feels more like New York than Miami, with a similar ambition, fast-paced lifestyle and walkability”.
Everything you need to live, work, shop and relax can be found within this highly concentrated urban core. And you add amazing public transportation from Miami’s free Metromover and you have the perfect formula for success.
Creative Culture
Just north of Brickell, in downtown Miami, you have Museum Park with PAMM and The Frost Museum of Science. There’s also direct Metromover access to Museum Park from Brickell.
Delicious Eats
Several popular Miami restaurants including NAOE, Pubbelly Sushi, Casa Tua have opened locations within Brickell City Centre. Also hotel restaurants like Quinto La Huella and La Mar by Gaston Acurio can be found.
Look + Feel Your Best
Can’t be Miami without your share of pampering. Brickell offers first-rate spas, salons and gyms including Equinox, Caudalie Boutique, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental or Biologique Recherche, to name only a few.
Dock Your Yacht For Dinner
Nice side effect of the area is the Miami River and all the waterfront restaurants that allow for boat docking. This is definitely one of our favorite reasons.
