Billy Joel sells his Miami Beach home

Where are all of our Miami Celebrities going? Hopefully to new and better things…..locally.  We told you back in May of 2012 that Billy Joel listed his Miami Beach home for $14,750,000.  Well….the scoop by The World Property Channel is that he has sold it for $14 Million to fashion mogul Diego Della Valle (Reportedly worth $1.55 billion, Mr. Valle is the owner of Tod’s shoes and a majority shareholder in Saks Fifth Avenue, according to Forbes magazine.)

The Piano Man singer bought the 8,881-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion for $13.5 million in 2006, according to the Real Estalker. He will most likely lose money after all fees are paid.

As we told you back in May of last year: The house has 8,881 sf of living space, with 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and 1 half bath.  It sits on a 30,330m sf lot and has a private dock , amazing pool area and views to die for. Tax records show that the home was purchased in February of 2006 for $13.5 Million.  The selling description reads:
