Miami Shores Village News – Spring 2014

Here’s a community update from Jesse Walters, Vice-Mayor, Miami Shores Village.  And remember that these go hand in hand with our monthly Miami Shores real estate market reports.

Straight from Jesse Walters:

I am happy to share the following recent developments that I think will be of interest to you!

Council to entertain volunteers to serve on two important boards:

Tuesday, June 10th is the deadline to apply for consideration for appointment to two of Miami Shores Village’s most important boards!  There will be three spots filled on the Doctors Charter School Board and one on the board of Brockway Memorial Library.

Applicants can apply for consideration on the village Web site.  Council will vote on the seats at its meeting on Tuesday, June 17, at 7:30 PM.  I strongly recommend that you be present at that meeting if you apply!

Councilwoman Ivonne Ledesma and I ran on a promise to look for new blood, fresh faces, and a more diverse composition for our various boards and commissions. I urge you to consider serving.
