Miamism Fridays – dummy dancing
Here’s a character a lot of us are familiar with. You may see this gentleman and his shoe-attached-booty-shaking-salsa-dancing dummy at any given time around Miami….but this time Adrian Salgado (Realtor extraordinaire and friend) captured him in non other than Versailles in Little Havana!! now
….THAT’s a Miamism !!
We had made a brief video of his “act” back in February of 2008 and all I can say is that woman has not aged one day! Take a look at Adrian’s Flickr Stream or tweet him @adriansalgado. (and Adrian….. that Versailles Foursquare Mayorship is mine!) 😉

I have to admit that I would love to have the moves (and silent partners) that this 80-yr old gentleman possesses. Being a huge fan of street art, I admire the dedication, discipline, and originality that he’s displayed over the years.
In other news, thank you, thank you, thank you for featuring my photograph (and Flickr stream) in Miamism Fridays. It is an honor to be featured in this space. You are truly a role model for those of us looking to learn and share more about the place that we call home. No elected official can tout the public service that you display on a daily basis. The goodness that you spread shows in everything that you do.
On behalf of Miamians everywhere, I thank you profusely for being such a great ambassador. We’re very lucky to have you.
Adrian, a true gentleman you are – we need to understand that we are advocates at all times for each other’s businesses and we’re on the same team….our industry would be a much better place with more people like you.
As for taking my mayorship…. enjoy it while it lasts! 😀
