Miamism Fridays – Jelly Fish

These things are not just jelly fish, they are vicious!!  You know exactly what I mean if you’ve ever had one or more of those pretty blue tentacles around you.  It’s Portuguese Man o’ War season!  They are all over the place, so be careful and keep an eye out.  This gorgeous shot was taken by Carlos Granier-Phelps, aka anonymonk.  They ARE pretty, no?

WARNING: If you do get stung, ask a lifeguard for help….seems like treatment of these is different than that of jellyfish and improper treatment may make things worse, OUCH!
