If you know me, you know I hate cold water, hence what I call (and many agree) “ Miami’s boating season” - it’s pretty much determined by when I can swim in the water, because boating without swimming, is, how can I put this nicely… HORRIBLE!!

So the end is usually marked by Columbus Day. Today the sun came out in full force with not a cloud in the sky and I got a nice buh bye pic of the sunset in Downtown Miami with The Waldorf Astoria smirking, that it’s not even close to being done yet.

Every year I hope I’m wrong … May boating season continue! #miamiboatlife #miamilife

I’ve lived in Miami for more than 40 years, written about the Freedom Tower, photographed it and driven past it countless times. Somehow, I had never been inside.

So today, the architect in me was excited to finally experience it.

Built in 1925 as the headquarters of a printing facility, the Mediterranean Revival tower was the tallest building in downtown Miami when it was completed. Decades later, it would become something much more significant.

From 1962 to 1974, it served as a processing and assistance center for Cuban refugees and became known as “El Refugio”, forever connecting the building to Miami’s Cuban exile story.

The museum is beautifully curated around that history, including Operation Pedro Pan, told through personal objects, photographs, oral histories, digital exhibits and memories. It also opens the conversation to other cultures and their own fights for freedom.

It was emotional to walk through.

I went wanting to see the restoration and architectural details of a building I’ve known from the outside for years. I left understanding it in a completely different way.

Architecture can make a building significant. What happens inside it can give it meaning. The Freedom Tower has both. #miamiarchitecture #freedom #historicpreservation @savingplaces (thank you @jorgellovet for the first pic of me)

Come for the view, but don’t underestimate the food. Try the coconut curry grouper, yellowfin tuna crudo and hamachi tiradito. (And if you’re lucky, you arrived via boat)

Great food with a perfect Miami view. Very Miamism. #miamilife #miamiskyline

Miami beauty isn’t always found in the obvious views. Sometimes it’s the contrast between an extraordinary sky and the ordinary urban fabric beneath it.

Red skies over Wynwood, framed by concrete, glass, rooftops and power lines. A completely different composition from the Miami postcard, but the energy is unmistakably ours.

Miami after dark, from the best seat in the city.

Miami after dark, from the best seat in the city.

The skyline glowing, reflections dancing on the bay, warm air, and that unmistakable feeling of seeing Miami from the water.

We may see this every day, but there’s nothing ordinary about it.

Very Miami. Very Miamism. 🌴 #miamilife #miamiboatlife

Apparently, I have a lot of faces. 😂

Thanks to La Zona Miami Podcast and @eddy_rengifo for putting a microphone in front of me and asking the questions I get all the time about real estate, agents, brokerages, leadership, business, and everything that happens in between.

So yes, you’re about to see the many faces of Ines.

No rehearsed answers. No polished corporate talking points. No “perfect” real estate answers.

Just raw, unfiltered conversations about the everyday questions I get from agents, clients and people in our industry, answered exactly the way I would answer them if you asked me yourself.

Some serious. Some funny. Some probably with a facial expression I should have kept to myself.

Welcome to the INEScapable series. 🎙️#podcast #realtorli̇fe #podcaststudio
